GITN is dedicated to providing skating opportunities to children of all ages, levels and abilities, an excellent starting point for all ice sports. Our smaller ice surface is ideal for learning to skate in a low student to instructor ratio.

Level I : Development of balance and posture. Introduction to forward skating, gliding, stopping and backward skating.
Level II : Development of forward gliding, stopping, backward skating. Introduction to one foot glides, backward gliding and cross0overs.
Level III : Backward stopping, backwards gliding and edges, cross-overs, backward stopping, introduction to slalom skating and 2 foot turns may be introduced depending on the group’s ability.

- 4:30-5:10 pm Level I (Ages 3-5)
- 5:15-5.55 pm Level II (Ages 6-8)
*30 minute Learn to Skate Lesson followed by a 10 minute free skate/fun games.
*10 Skaters Maximum per ice group
*Parents/guardians are requested to remain at the facility during lessons.
All participants must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet.
